Here's a bit more information about me:
I'm a descendant of the brave souls who answered Catherine II’s call to relocate from the Germanic states to the Russian Empire in 1766. I trace my paternal line to the Russian villages of Mariental and Louis and mymaternal line to Reinwald, Rosenfeld am Nachoi, and Balzer. With the support of many mentors and friends, most lines are back to their Germanic origins as early as 1699. I serve on the board of directors of the American Historical Society of Germans from Russia, as Vice President, and chair of the Marketing and Editorial and Publications committees.
